Summary elements of the survey:
Sample size | The collection of more than 400 complete answers shows a real interest in the issues addressed by the chosen target who participated with enthusiasm and seriousness in the survey. |
IT literacy | The analysis of the questionnaire showed that the 65+ population is actually technologically very active. In fact, around 90% of the interviewees own and use a smartphone used on a daily basis as a means of accessing information channels (72%) to surf the internet (76%) on a daily basis.
Even the world of apps is strongly known and appreciated. 85% of respondents use a messaging and social media application (85%) every day to stay in touch with friends and relatives. Growing interest in apps used to control physical activity (27%) and the use of smart gaming (20%). |
Information sources | 88% of respondents seem to be particularly attentive to the issues addressed by declaring that they are interested and looking for information on lifestyles and prevention.
The world of the web is also widely used as a source of information. About 42% of respondents, in fact, claim to have sought information on health and lifestyles online on institutional sites (probably because they are considered more reliable), traditional media and social networks (12%) are less used for the purpose However, the primary source of information for health-related issues remains the family doctor (54% of respondents), reflecting the strong confidence that the target population segment places in this professional figure. |
Perception of utility compared to a virtual coach like NESTORE | More than 50% of respondents perceive the usefulness of using an application (as a NESTORE) to support daily activities, capturing their great potential, particularly for monitoring physical well-being (53%) cognitive (57%) social (41%) and eating habits (50%). |
Distribution channels | The distribution channels in which respondents expect to find NESTORE are mainly online (42%) and pharmacies 23%. |
